New Orleans Saints star Alvin Kamara was involved in a conflict during the offseason where he allegedly assaulted a man at a Las Vegas casino.
While he was subsequently arrested, no disciplinary action was taken against Kamara by the NFL, since the league wanted to wait for the legal proceedings to come to a close.
After recent developments, however, it appears Alvin Kamara could be forced to pay up to $10 million after a civil lawsuit was filed against him by the victim, named Darnell Green.

As per FOX 8's Rob Masson,
"A civil lawsuit filed in Orleans court this afternoon reveals new details about an alleged beating incident involving Alvin Kamara in Las Vegas earlier this year. Alleged victim Darnell green is suing the Saints running back for $10 million. No comment so far from Kamara‘s atty"
There is a sense around the league that the NFL will likely suspend Kamara for a few games next season due to the incident, now that a civil lawsuit has been filed against the Saints running back.
Alvin Kamara off to a decent start this season
Despite getting arrested during the offseason, Kamara has been more than decent on the field this season for the New Orleans Saints.
While they're off to a shaky start, with a 2-3 record at present, the star running back has shown glimpses of his brilliance this season.
In three games so far, Kamara has 47 carries for 203 yards. He also has 11 receptions for 110 yards.
The Saints have been plagued with injuries to start the season, as Jameis Winston, Alvin Kamara, and Michael Thomas have all missed games so far.
They will face the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 6, and they'll look to get a win against them to get their season back on track.
Joe Burrow and Ja'Marr Chase will be making their return to Louisiana this week after winning the national championship for LSU before getting drafted.
As for Kamara's lawsuit, his attorneys will likely need to act quick and smart.
As things stand, however, Kamara could yet face disciplinary action from the league for violating its personal conduct policy.
