The Super Bowl LIX matchup is set: Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs will have a rematch against Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, February 9. American Airlines is helping to ensure that fans of both the Chiefs and Eagles have more opportunities to get to New Orleans for the big game.
The commercial airline announced two additional flights from Kansas City and three additional flights from Philadelphia. American Airlines took a step even further and gave the flight numbers a nod to each team and their stars.

Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquan Barkley, quarterback Jalen Hurts and wide receiver A.J. Brown's jersey numbers are all referenced. Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes' No. 15 jersey number and Kansas City's three Super Bowl titles are also mentioned.
The Chiefs and Eagles last met in Super Bowl LVII two years ago with the Chiefs winning on a late field goal.

Patrick Mahomes is heading to his fifth Super Bowl appearance and will be the first quarterback to reach that many big games before his 30th birthday. While the quarterback has found success in his young career, his competitors and those who aren't fans of his have always found ways to poke fun at his voice.
For years, Mahomes has been compared to Kermit the Frog, something he has previously dismissed. This past summer, the Las Vegas Raiders utilized a Kermit the Frog puppet to mock their division foe. Even during the Buffalo Bills' regular-season game versus the Chiefs, rival fans showed the puppet.
Mahomes has embraced the label after leading his team to its fifth AFC championship. The 29-year-old celebrated the big win with a post on X and then included the well-known meme of Kermit drinking tea.
Mahomes will now try to do something no other NFL team has done in history: win three straight Super Bowls.
