The Super Bowl was supposed to be an advertisement for football between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs. But instead, all that anyone could talk about was the turf.
Players kept slipping and losing their grip. The quarterbacks lost their footing, defenders could not get a grip, running backs kept losing their balance and kickers and punters slipped while executing kicks.
Once the game is over, there might be disagreements, but one thing that will unite every NFL fan is that the field was not fit for a Super Bowl. Whether it was the stadium's fault or the paint that made matters worse, the NFL has a lot to answer for.
The Chiefs had complained about the turf in Arizona earlier in the season, yet the game went ahead and it was not apparent that any improvements had been made.

Jalen Hurts for Super Bowl MVP? Eagles QB turns record-breaker
Despite all the fuss, there was one player who did not lose his footing. Jalen Hurts played a blinder and became the quarterback with the most rushing yards in Super Bowl history.
Coming into the game, it was well-established that he is a dual-threat quarterback who could rush as well as pass.
He also became the first quarterback in NFL history to have multiple rushing touchdowns and a passing touchdown.
He achieved all this in the first half, and then in the second half, became the first quarterback to score three rushing touchdowns. In fact, that also tied the record for most rushing touchdowns by a single player in Super Bowl history; Terrell Davis had three for the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XXXII and was named the MVP for that edition.
It was a great game, with the score tied at 35-35 late in the fourth quarter. Irrespective of which team wins, the best player on the field was Jalen Hurts.
He dominated every comer and found a way to keep the game close. He made sure to let everyone know why many fans thought he should be the league MVP as well.
