"Ant-Man" star Paul Rudd is having an important week. The movie's third installment, "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania," releases on February 17, while his favorite team, the Kansas City Chiefs, won the Super Bowl. Rudd has been a fan for years and was also present at the game.
However, Rudd was seriously contemplating quitting as a hardcore fan in 2020. Although Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs won the Super Bowl, it was a high-pressure situtation for the actor.
While on "Late Night with Seth Myers," Rudd admitted to feeling upset during the playoff game against the Houston Texans:
"That whole run was really just massive and it started this whole thing. And it was such a nice feeling, because, you know, in that year, in the first playoff game, the Chiefs were down by 24 points against the Texans. And it really was the first time I did kind of have this, 'Why do I do this?'

"I was really upset and mad. 'Cause I thought, this is not - this is not worth it. It's just not worth putting yourself through this kind of despair."
Rudd connected the whole situation to the current Super Bowl, where other team fans must be feeling what he did back then. Even Rudd's son, Jack, was distraught:
"My son was so despondent. He was so sad, just kind of walking around. Went into another room."
Paul Rudd and his son went viral after their Super Bowl interview
Rudd just had to be present in the Chiefs' win against the Philadelphia Eagles. Fans were quick to notice the similarities between the two, and how alike they sounded.
"I'm so lucky that I am alive to watch this, and I just — I cannot believe he's a real person. I don't know how to explain it, I just can't believe he's a real person," Jack said.
The father-son duo seemed completely overwhelmed by the Chiefs' victory, and could not stop celebrating them and their star QB. After all, Mahomes has been pivotal in their success.
Paul Rudd went on to admit that the feeling was 'overwhelming' and 'incredible', and that he could not believe the team's efforts to secure the victory. It's been a big week and could well be a big year for the actor.
