Aqib Talib was one of many NFL stars to appear on Jimmy Kimmel Live. He also partook in the 'Mean Tweets' section of the show and had an interesting reaction to the same.
The former NFL cornerback joined the likes of Tom Brady and Peyton Manning on Jimmy Kimmel's show. The segment essentially features tweets from haters and trolls, and often borders on downright insulting.
Talib, however, had to be reminded of a pretty severe incident in his life.
"I find it hilarious that Aqib talib tries to act all hard and s**t when the hardest thing he's ever done is shoot himself in the leg," the tweet read.

Talib smiled through the tweet, and ended up smiling as he got up and left.
"I'm done," he added.
It was the last tweet of the segment, making it all the more impactful for the 36-year-old. Furthermore, while Talib shook the comment off, the initial incident was scandalous and confusing for many.
The police investigated thoroughly, eventually deciding against filing any charges. It seemed to be a tough time for Talib, especially as he had to think about recovery and his team, the Denver Broncos.
Did Aqib Talib actually shoot himself in the leg?
In 2016, the police concluded that Talib had shot himself in the leg.
The former cornerback was shot in his lower right leg early on 5 June in Dallas. He did not get surgery, and was subsequently let out of the hospital the next day. Initial reports claimed that he didn't know who shot him, and was on the ground when the witness found him.
His recovery took some time, and Talib missed the Broncos' White House visit.
"I want to move on and concentrate on the season," Talib said in a statement back then.
Other reports add that while Talib did shoot himself, he does not remember anything more as he was extremely drunk. There was a debate about his suspension, which he ended up dodging.
Talib, however, was glad he managed to sit out a suspension:
"Definitely a relief, man," Aqib Talib said. "Just glad I could put it behind me and move on to the season and worry about what I really need to be worrying about."
Having played 13 games in 2016, Talib added that he was excited and wasn't looking forward to missing anything.
After 13 years in the NFL, Talib turned down an offer from the New England Patriots and retired in 2020.
