The Wild Card matchup between the Miami Dolphins and Kansas City Chiefs is expected to be historically cold. The game will take place at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City on Saturday night, with temperatures at kickoff expected to be -1°F and the windchill said to be between -23°F and -30°F.
Kansas City meteorologists and news stations have been sending warnings to fans ahead of the frigid temperatures. Fans have been advised several times to ensure that their skin is protected from the bitter cold and to take other precautions.
Fans on social media are irate that the National Football League didn't consider moving the start time for the game. The temperatures would still be cold earlier in the day, but not below 0°.

Below are some of the comments from NFL fans about the Chiefs-Dolphins Wild Card game:
Miami Dolphins-Kansas City Chiefs playoff tickets plummet in valuation amid biting cold
The Wild Card matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and Miami Dolphins is a rematch of the November game held in Frankfurt, Germany. The Chiefs pulled off a 21-14 win earlier in the season but this game has much higher stakes.
Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs offense have been a roller coaster ride this season, while Tua Tagovailoa and the Dolphins have proved they can be one of the best teams in the AFC.
Some would expect prices for a playoff game at Arrowhead Stadium to be costly. That's not the case for Saturday night's game hosted by the reigning Super Bowl LVII champions. As of Friday morning, tickets for the game have dipped to $40 for the 300-level on SeatGeek, Ticketmaster and StubHub ticket platforms.
To put that into comparison, a standing-room-only ticket at AT&T Stadium for the Packers/Cowboys game is being sold for $77 and that doesn't include a seat. The Lions, who are hosting their first playoff game since 1994, have tickets priced near $400 each.
Fans of both the Miami Dolphins and Kansas City Chiefs aren't too eager to attend what could be the coldest NFL game ever played.
