Philadelphia Eagles star A.J. Brown did not have a day to remember on Sunday. The wide receiver cut a frustrated figure on the sidelines despite his team's 22-10 win over the Green Bay Packers, which saw them advance to the divisional round of the playoffs.
Brown was targeted only thrice and caught only one pass for 10 yards and he was visibly irked about it.
While on the bench, the wide receiver was spotted reading author Jim Murphy's book, Inner Excellence: Train Your Mind for Extraordinary Performance and the Best Possible Life.

Sports Illustrated reached out to Murphy to ask whether he knew that the Eagles star had brought attention to his book. He responded:
“It’s been a pretty amazing night. I’m sitting here in a hotel by myself. I was like, 'What’s with all these messages?' And then I saw what happened and I’m like, 'Oh my God that’s crazy.' Really neat... It’s really an honor to be a part of his life and to have a meaningful place in anyone’s life.”
While some Eagles players told Sports Illustrated that Brown reads the self-help guide "with regularity," quarterback Jalen Hurts hilariously claimed that it might be a ruse. In his post-game press conference, he said:
"I have never seen him read. I've seen the book in his hands. Everybody has a different thing and finds their flow in different ways. So, that's how we choose to do it."
A.J. Brown makes displeasure known
Unlike Jalen Hurts, A.J. Brown wasn't in the mood to talk after a dismal outing against the Packers. When reporters approached the wide receiver in the Eagles' locker room, he smiled and shunned them claiming there was nothing to talk about.
This wasn't the first instance of Brown showcasing his frustration. Following the Eagles' narrow win over the Carolina Panthers in December, the wide receiver took a direct shot at Hurts. When asked during his post-game interview what the team needed to improve, he responded, "Passing."
His temper had simmered down but he looked just as irked on Sunday as he did when he called out the quarterback following the game against Carolina.
