Russell Wilson is doing great things on the field, and his wife Ciara is doing the same off of it. Recently, the popular singer made the headlines for all the right reasons, as her Baby2Baby nonprofit organization's annual gala was a huge success.
The event took place at the Pacific Design Center on Saturday and it raised a record $17 million to provide basic needs for children in poverty. With over 800 guests in attendance, including some of Hollywood's biggest stars, it featured a performance by Nelly and speeches by Ciara, Ayesha Curry and Katy Perry.
Curry and Kobe Bryant's widow, Vanessa Bryant, took to social media to show Ciara some love for her noble and successful initiative.

It's been a wild ride for Russell Wilson and Ciara
The past couple of years have been an emotional rollercoaster for one of the power couples in the sports and entertainment industry. Russell Wilson left the Seattle Seahawks in a shocking trade to the Denver Broncos, forcing them to leave their home.
The two years Wilson spent in Denver weren't particularly great as he didn't play up to his usual standards, and with Sean Payton's arrival, some worrisome reports about his demeanor emerged.
He didn't seem to see eye-to-eye with his new coach, and a power struggle led to his release, even with the Broncos taking the largest dead cap hit in NFL history just to watch him leave.
The Pittsburgh Steelers made the most of the opportunity by signing him to a veteran's minimum deal, and while fans weren't so sure about whether he still had something left in the tank, he's turned back the clock and has played well lately.
Wilson took the reins of the offense in Week 7 after missing the first six weeks with a calf injury. While some thought Justin Fields did enough to keep the starting job, Wilson has led the team to a perfect 3-0 record since he became a starter.
Russell Wilson entered the season with a huge chip on his shoulder, and he's delivered so far. There's still a lot of football left to be played this season, but with him at the helm, the Steelers look like a legitimate Super Bowl contender.
