Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Baker Mayfield’s wife, Emily Mayfield, took to IG on Jan. 4 to share a post on her story.
The message on the story read:
“On the eve of the final regular season game, @bakermayfield doing what he does best! Not only did our winner have the day of a lifetime, we raised $85K for the @bemayfieldfoundation!!”

The post shared had a clip that was originally posted by Alltroo’s official IG account, a non-profit organization founded by former Minnesota Vikings TE, Kyle Rudolph. He was later drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2022 before his retirement. The post was shared with the caption:
“Come with us to be a Buccaneer for a day in Tampa! 🏴☠️ #AlltrooWinner"
Emily Mayfield announced that the couple has raised $85,000 for the next edition of their ‘Be the Ball’ event through their Baker and Emily Mayfield Foundation.
The organization was set up last year by the couple to help provide opportunities to people with challenges by providing programs, scholarships and philanthropic opportunities.
Emily and Baker Mayfield calls fans for a new event
Although not much detail of the event is available, the clip beckons fans to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers office in Tampa for a day.
It may be a meet-and-greet event with fun competitive play, like their highly successful ‘Be The Ball’ event. Fans may get an opportunity to play alongside Bucs players like Baker Mayfield and Kyle Rudolph with other fun activities on the schedule too.
The official name of the event is yet to be revealed, so it may be the third event of the foundation, which has successfully organized ‘Be the Ball’ and ‘Passing the Joy’ events in August last year.
The foundation raised over $220,000 for their second edition of the ‘Be the Ball’ event for the ‘Early Learning Coalition of Hillsborough County.’
They also held the ‘Passing the Joy’ event on Dec. 17, 2024, at The Dream Center of Tampa, which was the fifth edition of the event but the second in Tampa.
The 29-year-old QB was present at the event to play with the kids and deliver gifts to 100 kids. These events reflect that the Mayfield couple is immersed with the franchise now, despite signing only a year’s contract initially.
Baker Mayfield and Tampa Bay Buccaneers ready for playoff qualification
Mayfield has been impressive this season. In 16 games, he has thrown for 4,279 yards with a PCT of 71.7% for 39 TDs. The Bucs have been a threatening offensive side this season, with Mayfield being named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week in Week 17.
The Bucs currently have a 9-7 record this season and will face the New Orleans Saints on Sunday. A win will guarantee their playoff spot as the divisional leader.
