Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson helped bring back the XFL after it fell into bankruptcy and abruptly closed its doors in 2020. In the 2023 XFL season, the league made its return just a few weeks ago and Johnson has not missed an opportunity to hype it up. Each week showcases another unbelievable story by one of the athletes in the XFL.

On Sunday afternoon, Johnson retweeted a video of the St. Louis Battlehawks and the D.C. Defenders. He said that it's a battle between the undefeated teams and that it's 'a party in the XFL':

The video that "The Rock" tweeted also showed a touchdown by the St. Louis Battlehawks. As "The Rock's" well-known 'people's elbow' made its way into the XFL, St. Louis Battlehawks running back Brian Hill did it this time.
The battle between the two undefeated teams comes as both had thrilling comeback wins last week.
How much did Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson pay for the XFL?
When the COVID-19 pandemic shut down professional sports, the XFL did so as well, but for good. Former owner Vince McMahon said that the league would file for bankruptcy after spending more than they were earning in profits.
Later that year, "The Rock" announced that he had formed an ownership group with Dany Garcia and the two would be purchasing the XFL for $15 million. The two worked on broadcast deals with FOX and ESPN to cover the games and worked out a new business plan to ensure that the league was successful this time around.
In just the third week of the new season, the XFL seems to have garnered additional viewership and attendance rates. It is being used as a stepping stone by players who hope to make it to the NFL.
