Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio has given a stern warning to incoming New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers over the tough schedule he will face next season.

With no current confirmation regarding Rodgers' move to New York, the consensus is that the deal will eventually get done. It's a matter of when, not if.

In what is a long, drawn-out saga, Rodgers and his impending new team have a seriously tough schedule as they look to improve on last year's efforts. Florio stated that networks will be scrambling to get the Jets' high-profile games on primetime, but added that Rodgers is in for a really tough year in the Big Apple.

Florio said on NFL on NBC:

"That schedule this year for the Jets that schedule this year, it's going to have a ton of games. I'm sure the network's are already wrangling to get as many of them as possible. It's got a lot of games on there where even with Aaron Rodgers, man, it's not gonna be an easy year for the Jets."

Florio added:

"This is a team we're going to be seeing a lot this year just like the Broncos last year, so a ton of pressure on Aaron Rodgers. Be careful what you wish for coming out of the darkness Aaron Rodgers. You may want to run back into it after you spend a month or two as the quarterback of the New York Jets."

Looking at the Jets' 2023 schedule, we can see why Florio thinks Rodgers will have a tough time of it. The teams New York has to play are brutal.

The Jets will play the Dallas Cowboys, Denver Broncos, Miami Dolphins (x2), Buffalo Bills (x2), Las Vegas Raiders, Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Chargers, and the Philadelphia Eagles.

That accounts for 10 of their 17 games and as Florio states, it is a tough schedule for Rodgers to play through.

Whether or not Rodgers will be able to take New York where it wants to go is 2023 is unknown, but looking at the teams the Jets will be facing, it is going to be a tall order.
