The Chicago Bears are among the six teams looking for a new head coach this offseason. Their primary objective is to hire someone who could help Caleb Williams fulfill his potential and become a franchise cornerstone.
The majority of the Bears' fanbase is clamoring for Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson to take over and he seemingly had, or at least that's what the quarterback was led to believe.
A few kids managed to get their hands on Williams' phone number and texted him, pretending to be Johnson. They convinced him he was talking to the highly coveted coach and even got him to FaceTime them. When he did, he learned he was being pranked, but he was a good sport about it.

However, he wasn't as amused as he looked in the video. During an appearance on Lions star Amon-Ra St. Brown's podcast, the wide receiver asked him about the incident. Williams responded:
"Bro I was so mad!"
The Bears star explained the background behind the ordeal in the podcast episode, which will premiere on Wednesday morning.
Bears head coach hunt: Is Chicago hiring Ben Johnson?
Ben Johnson remains the fan favorite to take over as the Bears' new head coach, but the franchise is keen on doing its due diligence before making a decision. The team has already interviewed the Lions offensive coordinator, but he's only one of 10 coaches the team has spoken to so far.
The Bears aren't done. They are set to interview Vikings defensive coordinator Brian Flores, Steelers offensive coordinator Arthur Smith, and former Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy this week.
They have also put in requests to interview Bills OC Joe Brady, Commanders OC Kliff Kingsbury, Ravens OC Todd Monken, Packers OC Adam Stenavich, Iowa State head coach Matt Campbell, and Notre Dame head coach Marcus Freeman.
The Bears are leaving no stone unturned in their head coach hunt. They are keen on hiring the right coaching staff to get the best out of Caleb Williams and the rest of the roster. Chicago is risking Johnson joining another team with its lengthy process but they are seemingly confident he'd sign with them if they decide to hire him.
