The 2023 NFL owners meeting in Phoenix is set to end on Wednesday. The third day of meetings featured the yearly coaches' picture, with almost all of the league's 32 head coaches sitting together for a picture in the sun.

Many coaches appeared uncomfortable due to the heat and the general nature of the photoshoot. Naturally, online trolls had a great time making jokes at their expense after the picture was uploaded to the internet.

The coaches who did not participate in the group photo include Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni, Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel and new Carolina Panthers head coach Frank Reich. The reason for their absence is unknown.

What else happened at the NFL owners' meeting?

Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel provided an update on Tua Tagovailoa's status for the 2023 season.

“All the best things that you can possibly hear, his is not something that, for a lot of people, it happened and then you’re all of a sudden thinking about it as the OTAs start again. This is something that our training staff and Tua have been attacking every day."

He added:

"He’s in a great spot. I’m really encouraged by the work that he’s doing for preventative injuries with his core and his neck training, his jiu-jitsu stuff has been outstanding. Doing all the things that we can control to best position us. He’s in a great place because of that.”

Rules were also changed during the meeting. Tripping is now a personal foul that gives 15 yards to the receiving team; the number zero is now allowed on jerseys, and the Philadelphia Eagles' sneak push is still legal after speculation about whether it would be prohibited for the 2023 season.

Dan Snyder was not removed from his position as the Washington Commanders owner even though other owners don't want him in the NFL anymore. The franchise is being sold and should have a new decision-maker by the time the 2023 NFL Draft comes around.
