We don't know if we are about to see the last of Aaron Rodgers in the NFL and while the New York Jets have nothing except pride to play for in Week 18 against the Miami Dolphins, one NFL star has raised the stakes for Rodgers' season finale.
Cincinnati Bengals Pro Bowler Orlando Brown Jr., who signed a four-year, $64 million contract in Mar. 2023, made Rodgers a pretty interesting offer this weekend - a fully-financed trip to Peru in exchange for a Jets win over the Dolphins. In an interview with reporters after their 19-17 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, Brown said:
“Hopefully everybody takes care of business. Some guys is going to be playing that haven’t had the opportunity to play. They’re going to be hearing from me. Might message Aaron Rodgers too and get his next Peru trip. Hopefully everybody takes care of business for us.”

The Bengals took care of business on Saturday night as Joe Burrow continued his under-the-radar MVP campaign but Cincinnati is not quite out of the woods yet. They still need Denver to lose to the Patrick Mahomes-less Kansas City Chiefs and a Dolphins loss at the hands of the Jets to sneak into the playoffs.
Where New York Jets, Aaron Rodgers stand in 2025
As things stand, the Jets have four wins, no permanent head coach and no general manager. And while that may seem like a lot of holes to fill, they have already started interviewing candidates for the vacancies.
Mike Vrabel and Ron Rivera have reportedly already interviewed for the head coach role while the Jets have also been linked with Washington Commanders offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury. Detroit Lions OC Ben Johnson and DC Aaron Glenn are seen as long shots with Johnson strongly linked to the Chicago Bears.
Sportskeeda's Tony Pauline reports that the New Orleans Saints are eyeing Glenn to fill their vacant HC seat.
That leaves the Jets with few contenders for the role.
For his part, Aaron Rodgers has made it clear he would be open to taking a paycut to stay with the franchise in 2025. The four-time MVP also offered to mentor "the hell" out of a rookie if the Jets decide to go down that route but Rodgers and the franchise appear more likely to part ways at the end of the season.
