The Cincinnati Bengals have come back from 4-8 down to remain in the playoff hunt. However, they will need much prayer to make it.
Joe Burrow put in another stellar performance, completing 37 of his 46 passing attempts for a touchdown against an interception, while Cade York was perfect on four field goal attempts in a 19-17 win at the Pittsburgh Steelers on Saturday that put them at 9-8.
However, two more outcomes still need to happen for them to return to the postseason:
- The Denver Broncos lose to the Kansas City Chiefs (win-over-the-other will apply).
- The Miami Dolphins do not win at the New York Jets (loss or draw).

To that end, Bengals fans have started making pleas to the likes of Aaron Rodgers and Carson Wentz:
More "prayers" can be seen below:
"RODGERS AND WENTZ SAVE US!!!" one begged.
"Really need Aaron Rodgers and Carson Wentz to turn back the clock several years tomorrow," another stressed.
"The Bengals got me rooting for Aaron Rodgers and Carson Wentz… what has my life come to?" another wondered.
Both the aforementioned games will kick off at 4:25 PM ET - Broncos-Chiefs on CBS; Dolphins-Jets on Fox.
HC Zac Taylor, Joe Burrow react to Bengals remaining in playoff hunt win at Steelers
After the game, head coach Zac Taylor took to the stand to address the media about the crucial victory. He began by praising his players for sticking together and believing that they still had a chance - “the right attitude,” as he put it:
“I think this is an appropriate end to this game. It’s what we’ve done the last five weeks. 4-8, probably one of the lowest moments we’ve had, sitting there, staring at that record with the expectations we had.”
He also sent a warning to the Buffalo Bills, their prospective playoff opponents:
“They’re not going to want us in this tournament, I promise you.”
Joe Burrow was the next to take the stand. He began by calling the win a “big” one that needed the efforts of many people to accomplish. Later on, he acknowledged the magnitude of his team’s situation:
“It’s not ideal, but we know we put ourselves in this position… The odds are long, but we got a shot.”
He also reminisced on his comeback from his wrist injury in November 2023 and addressed the future of Tee Higgins, imploring the front office to re-sign the wide receiver in free agency after he set a career-high in touchdowns at ten.
