Apple TV's 2024 show, "The Dynasty: New England Patriots," a 10-part documentary about the franchise's 20-year reign of terror with head coach Bill Belichick, quarterback Tom Brady and owner Robert Kraft as its driving force, gave fans an insight into the power struggle behind the scenes between the trio.

While Brady and Kraft were portrayed as a united front, often siding and backing each other, and sharing a father-son dynamic, Belichick was painted as the story's anti-hero.

Belichick was understandably not pleased with Kraft's characterization of him in the documentary. However, he has never aired his resentment towards the franchise's owner nor disavowed anything said about him in the documentary. But he doesn't believe "The Dynasty" accurately represents him and clarified that during his appearance on "The Pat McAfee Show" on Monday.

In a segment, the host and Belichick discussed his daily private meetings with Brady during their time together on the Patriots. One of those was captured on camera for the NFL Films documentary "A Football Life: Bill Belichick." McAfee confused it with the "Do Your Job" documentary about the team's Super Bowl 49 win and mistakenly believed it was a sequel to "A Football Life."

The North Carolina Tar Heels head coach corrected him and said "Do Your Job" is the only documentary about the Patriots and the other was a feature story about him. He then took a shot at Kraft and "The Dynasty" documentary, quipping:

"The other documentary as you remember was a roast. I wouldn't count that one."

Robert Kraft, Tom Brady had a secret meeting about issues with Bill Belichick

Following the Patriots' loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl 52, where Bill Belichick infamously benched Pro Bowl cornerback Malcolm Butler and the defense gave up 41 points, Tom Brady, and his ex-wife Gisele Bundchen met with Robert Kraft at the Patriots owner's home to air grievances about the head coach.

In the documentary, Kraft revealed that Bundchen was critical of Belichick. He also claimed he offered to trade the quarterback if he wished to leave the team. He said:

"The tension between Bill and Tom was clear. I asked Tommy to come over to my house and air out what was going on. Tommy and Gisele came to my house and they were really upset. I had Gisele say, 'That effing Belichick, he doesn't treat my Tommy like a man.' She thought Bill was disrespectful to Tommy and that it was time to move on. I realized how bad the situation was. And I said, 'Look, Tommy, if you wanna go, I'll work it out so you can go.'"

While Kraft was more than willing to spill details about the meeting, Brady wasn't as keen. When asked about the meeting, he cut off the question and avoided divulging details, claiming he wished to keep it private.

The quarterback did not want to throw his former head coach under the bus.
