Puka Nacua's rise to stardom was among the biggest surprises of the 2023 NFL season. The rookie wide receiver, a fifth-round pick, caught the league by storm with his record-breaking rookie season, where he finished with 1,486 receiving yards and six touchdowns to his name.

He has missed a few games in 2024, hence why he still hasn't crossed the 1,000-yard mark. But he has actually improved, with 87.4 yards per game in 2023 and 88.5 yards per game in 2024. The Los Angeles Rams have a 5-3 record in games where he played.

Among his biggest fans in the NFL world, former New England Patriots head coach and 6x Super Bowl champion Bill Belichick is part of the group. In a recent appearance at the Let's Go Podcast, he spoke about Nacua's virtues, and even included things from off the field:

Quite a player, quite a player. His size is impressive, and his toughness, he really, he makes a lot of plays, and he's got the hair the flow, I mean, he's got the look and fun guy to watch.

Puka Nacua just had his best game of the season. He put together a performance with 12 receptions, 162 receiving yards, 16 rushing yards and a touchdown as the Los Angeles Rams fought bravely and defeated the Buffalo Bills 44-42. At 7-6, they're still on the hunt for a playoff spot with one game behind the Seattle Seahawks (8-5) in the NFC West.

Remaining games for Puka Nacua and the Los Angeles Rams

Entering Week 15, there are four remaining games for the Rams and they're all extremely important as they try to catch the Seahawks:

  • Week 15: at San Francisco 49ers
  • Week 16: at New York Jets
  • Week 17: vs. Arizona Cardinals
  • Week 18: vs. Seattle Seahawks

One important topic about the NFC West race is that the Rams did defeat the Seahawks when these two teams first met. This means that, if Los Angeles defeat Seattle in Week 18, they only have to finish with the same record as Geno Smith's team, as they would win the division based on the tiebreaker criteria.
