Things have been good for the Detroit Lions in the 2024 season. Dan Campbell's team has been the hottest in the league, with a current 11-1 record and a strong Super Bowl chance. It's only a matter of time before they confirm their 2024 playoff berth.

The feelings have been excellent. The team is coming from an NFC Championship Game appearance, and nothing less than a Super Bowl visit will be seen as a success. They have not lost since Week 2, and judging by their recent games, it will take a lot to end this winning streak.

However, they still have to be prepared for adversities, and they could come sooner rather than later. Former head coach Bill Belichick, appearing on "The Pat McAfee Show", pointed out one weakness of this current roster:

"They don't get very much pressure on the quarterback. A lot of the sacks that they do get are because the quarterback holds the ball for an extended period of time," Belichick said.

"They really haven't rushed the passer very effectively. I think the numbers are a little misleading because of the amount of time that the quarterbacks have held the ball.

"I think they've gotten away with some things, and it looks good now, I just don't know if it's going to last against really good passing teams. I just worry when they get against a good offensive team, if Love has a good day, if Darnold has a good day, which I didn't think really either one of them did, you know what that would look like?" he added.

The Lions had Aidan Hutchinson as their main pass rusher. After five games, he was a clear frontrunner for the Defensive Player of the Year (DPOY) award, with 7.5 sacks in just five games. However, he suffered a season-ending injury in Week 6.

What's the next game for the Detroit Lions?

They have a crucial game to play in Week 14, as they play against the Green Bay Packers during Thursday Night Football.

A win would take the Packers away from the NFC North race. Green Bay currently has a 9-3 record and would move just one game behind if they pull the upset against the Lions.
