Bill Belichick speaks up on Tom Brady’s passing yards record after Bucs QB’s game-winning miracle drive vs Rams 

Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers cared about one thing on Sunday: defeating the Los Angeles Rams. They were able to do that, sealing the game with a miraculous drive in the closing seconds that ended with a one-yard touchdown pass.

The final drive also put Brady over an illustrious total of 100,000 career passing yards. He became the first NFL player to reach that mark, combining playoff and regular season totals.

Naturally, Brady's former head coach, Bill Belichick, was asked about the achievement, much of which came while the two formed a lethal head coach-quarterback duo for the New England Patriots. Belichick was delighted with his former quarterback's incredible achievement. Here's what he said on The Greg Hill Show:

"That's a tremendous accomplishment and a real credit to everything about him. His longevity, his accuracy, consistency. Just doing so many things right in the passing game for so long. That's a phenomenal accomplishment."

He continued:

"I'm really happy for him. Nobody deserves it more than he does. He's worked extremely hard and is just very good at what he does. That's an amazing stat. I don't even know how far 100,000 yards is. It must be a long way. I don't know how many miles. I have no idea. But that's a great accomplishment."

Belichick was then informed by a reporter that Brady's achievement totals over 56.8 miles, which is an astonishing number. The Buccaneers had lost three in a row, but the win put them back atop the NFC South, tied with the Atlanta Falcons.
