The Kansas City Chiefs may have won 21-7 against the Cleveland Browns, but it was not easy. Star QB Patrick Mahomes injured his lower leg during a play and was seen limping off the field, surrounded by team members.

It happened around the middle of the fourth quarter. A Browns defender tried to sack Patrick Mahomes by encircling his waist and trying to bring him down. However, he let the ball fly from his hands as the defender tackled him. His body twisted awkwardly as two other Browns players piled up on top of him.

Mahomes had been designated as "questionable" and did not return to the game and was replaced by Caron Wentz for the final seven minutes. Fans took to X (formerly Twitter) to react to the Chiefs QB injury. One of them said that the incident meant the black magic the Chiefs were leveraging to win games was over.

Another fan said the NFL would come down heavily on the players who caused Mahomes the injury.

"whoever tackled mahomes is getting fined and 3 game suspension 😭😂"

Other fans also reacted to Patrick Mahomes's injury.

"He will milk this out for weeks." one fan said.
"He’a totally fine lol. Amazing over reaction from everyone on tv over it. He will be completely fine," another fan commented.
"Those ankles always give problems. Genetics usually. But the dude works so hard to compensate. Sick dude, for sure," one fan sympathized with Mahomes.
"Faker," another fan said.

Before leaving the game due to his ankle injury, Mahomes had thrown two TD passes. Unlike most games this season, for the Browns game, it did not seem like the Chiefs could lose until the final few minutes. Throughout the game, the Chiefs were dominant.

In the first half, Mahomes threw TD passes to JuJu Smith-Schuster and Noah Gray. Even though the Chiefs won the Browns game, they cannot fully celebrate. They are among the few teams this season that have not scored 30 points or more in any of their games. The others include struggling teams like the New England Patriots and the New York Jets.

Can the Chiefs reverse this slump in offense as they prepare for the playoffs in less than a month?
