The Baltimore Ravens are unveiling new helmets for the first time since 1998 and they've chosen the 'Flock vs Jungle' game to do it. A day after the Houston Texans unveiled their "Battle Red" uniforms, Baltimore will be donning their "Purple Rising." This is only their third helmet design since the franchise came into being in 1996.
After the NFL shared pictures of the new helmets, Ravens fans went gaga over the new designs on X (formerly, Twitter). One fan said that the Ravens were blending tradition with modern designs in the new helmet.
"The Ravens' 'Purple Rising' helmets are a bold move, blending tradition with a fresh twist. Can't wait to see them in action tonight."

Another fan also said that the new helmets looked great with the team color. She was also excited for the team's matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday Night Football.
"Bringing the heat with that bold purple! Can already feel the energy rising let's make tonight unforgettable, Ravens! 💜🔥 #PurpleRising."
Other fans also chimed in with their positive assessment of the new helmets:
"The Ravens always come through with the cleanest gear! These helmets are a vibe,😎" one fan said.
"Best alt unis in the league 😤😤😤" another fan said.
"The Purple Rising helmets are a GAME CHANGER! Ready to witness greatness tonight," one fan said.
"The Ravens will hunt their opponents for sure.. Good luck guys," another fan said.
Will the Ravens' chief offensive weapons play tonight vs. the Bengals?
In a relief for fans, Lamar Jackson is off the injury report, which means No. 8 will play against their divisional rivals. He was nursing a knee issue although he managed to play through it during the 41-10 win over the Denver Broncos.
Isiah Likely and Brent Urban who are dealing with hamstring and concussion injuries respectively, have been ruled out of the game, unfortunately. Over in the opposing camp, star wideout, Tee Higgins is doubtful for the game.
The Bengals are 4-5 while the Ravens are 6-3 and second in the AFC North, behind the 6-2 Pittsburgh Steelers. Cincinnati desperately needs this win, but needing a win in Baltimore and getting one are very separate matters.
