Dever Broncos quarterback Bo Nix will face the Buffalo Bills in the wild-card round. Nix is in the first year of his four-year $18.6 million rookie deal with a team option for a fifth year. The QB surprised many in his rookie season, but he isn't satisfied with just being in the postseason.

"You've dreamed for these moments, and you go through life wanting these things, but I also don't want to leave out the fact [of] not just being complacent with making the playoffs," Nix said, via the team website. "I don't want to be handcuffed by just making it, just because we haven't done it in so long. If we're going to make it, we might as well go win some games.
"Honestly, it'd be a shame to get this far, start enjoying where you are and then become complacent and not do your best in this game when you have a chance to go out there and compete to go win."

Denver ended the NFL regular season with a 38-0 win over the Kansas City Chiefs to punch their ticket to the playoffs.

Nix completed 376 of 567 passes for 3,775 yards, 29 touchdowns and 12 interceptions this season. The quarterback was a significant reason Denver advanced to the playoffs for the first time since winning the Super Bowl in the 2015 season.

Denver is an 8.5-point underdog on the road against the Bills on Sunday.

Broncos coach confident in Bo Nix ahead of playoff debut

Bo Nix will play his first NFL playoff game on Sunday. Broncos coach Sean Payton isn't worried about any rookie jitters or nerves.

"He's played in a lot of big games. And honestly, last week for him and for many guys, it was like a playoff game. He's seasoned, and he's been in big moments," Payton said, via SI. "And you know what? He's going to play in bigger games."

Nix did play in a Pac-12 championship game last season, so he does have experience playing in big games, as Payton says.

Should Denver pull off the upset, the Broncos would go on the road to play the Kansas City Chiefs in the divisional round.
