Brandin Cooks trade: WR posts cryptic tweet after Texans decide to keep him

Houston Texans wide receiver Brandin Cooks posted a cryptic tweet after he failed to secure a trade away from the AFC franchise on deadline day. Cooks reportedly had many suitors for his services, but the Texans failed to grant the receiver his wish.

While at first we didn't know why Cooks wanted out, we might now. After the trade deadline elapsed, the receiver took to Twitter and posted a message that left many scratching their heads. Who is it directed at? Make your own conclusions.

"Don’t take a man’s kindness for granted. Covered for the lies for too long those days are done. Crossed the line with playing with my career 🏹."

Going by what the receiver has tweeted, it appears that someone in the Texans organization has taken the receiver's kindness for granted. We can only assume that the last part of the tweet perhaps has something to do with the 29-year-old failing to get the trade he was after.

The Houston Texans' best offensive weapon is now seriously unhappy. How exactly the team and the receiver move forward after this is unknown, but it will be far from smooth sailing.

The diminutive receiver did not get his trade away from Houston, so he will now spend the remainder of the season with the AFC South franchise. His motives for a move are not known, but it can't be due to form.

The 29-year-old has been in decent enough form for a team that has won just once in 2022. Through seven games, the receiver has 32 receptions for 354 yards and a touchdown - not too bad.

In the Texans' loss to the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, the receiver caught four balls for 73 yards as he did his best to get his team across the line.

It will be interesting to see how he manages his situation moving forward, having to be stuck with a team that potentially did wrong by him.

Still with plenty to offer, the receiver will no doubt look to put himself in the shop window for the offseason as it now looks unlikely he will be there beyond 2022.
