Dallas Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey has issued a heartfelt apology to cheerleader Michelle Siemienowski. This comes after he accidentally struck her with a kicked ball during Sunday's season finale against the Washington Commanders.

Siemienowski is a California native who joined the Cowboys' cheerleading squad in July 2024. She became the focus of attention after the sideline incident at AT&T Stadium.

On Jan. 7, Siemienowski shared an update through her Instagram Stories. It revealed Brandon Aubrey's thoughtful gesture following the unexpected mishap. She noted that Aubrey had attempted to find her on the field immediately after the incident:

"This past 24 hours has been a whirlwind! I got a ton of messages and I wanted to thank you all for checking in and for your kind words! I am all okay, so no need to worry! Also... Thank you @baubs10 for this apology note!" wrote Siemienowski.

The incident occurred during the first half when Brandon Aubrey's kick veered toward the sideline. Despite a cameraman's attempt to deflect the ball, it struck Siemienowski. She quickly bounced back to her feet as concerned teammates and Commanders punter Tress Way checked on her condition.

Siemienowski's gracious response highlighted both athletes' professionalism. She shared Aubrey's handwritten note on her Instagram stories:

"Michelle, so sorry about hitting you on KO! Hope you are doing well. Love watching y'all!"

The incident came during a remarkable game for Aubrey. His perfect 4-for-4 performance pushed him into rare NFL territory. He became just the fifth kicker in league history to make 40-plus field goals in a season.

He joined David Akers (44 in 2011), Chris Boswell (41 in 2024), Daniel Carlson (40 in 2021), and Neil Rackers (40 in 2005).

Brandon Aubrey's journey to this milestone started shakily in 2023 when he missed his first NFL extra-point attempt. Since then, he's transformed into Dallas' most reliable weapon, converting 36 of 38 attempts in his rookie season.

He's also shown remarkable range, nailing a 65-yard field goal in 2024 and attempting an ambitious 70-yarder.

While the Cowboys wrapped up a disappointing 7-10 season, this moment of sportsmanship between Aubrey and Siemienowski showcased football's human side.

The cheerleader even called Aubrey's note a "souvenir for my last game of my rookie season," turning an awkward incident into a memorable piece of her first NFL campaign. She later congratulated Aubrey for breaking his own Cowboys franchise record of 36 field goals set in 2023.
