Brian Burns, Miles Sanders' former teammate, showed a heartwarming gesture during Sunday’s overseas NFL game between the New York Giants and Carolina Panthers. Putting rivalry aside, Burns, now a Giants edge rusher, was among those who rushed to check on Sanders after he sustained a foot/ankle injury.
As Panthers beat writer, Joe Person reported the touching sight on X, NFL fans' hearts were full.

"True professional," one fan commented.
"Class act, Brian Burns," another fan wrote.
"That’s a great show of support," a third fan responded.
Before being traded to the Giants in March 2024, Brian Burns was franchise-tagged by the Carolina Panthers. Burns played alongside Miles Sanders in Carolina during the 2023 season.
Sanders' injury occurred in the second quarter with 11:44 remaining on the clock. Reportedly, Panthers QB Bryce Young handed the ball to Sanders, who tried to push forward but was quickly tackled by Giants LB Micah McFadden, gaining just one yard.
Following McFadden's tackle, Sanders stayed on the ground and was in pain, which led the medical team to rush onto the field to check on him.
Panthers' potential strategy in Miles Sanders' absence
Without Miles Sanders, the Carolina Panthers might rely more on running back Chuba Hubbard to take responsibility for rushing responsibilities. Moreover, RB2 Raheem Blackshear, who has been playing with the Panthers since 2022 will feel the pressure.
Additionally, the Panthers will fall short in the backfield. The team will have to work extra hard to score touchdowns. More so since rookie RB Jonathon Brooks is inactive this week from the roster as he is still recovering from an ACL tear, which he suffered while playing for the Texas Longhorns last November.
However, the good news is Brooks could be debuting in Week 12 after his team's bye week.
