The Tennessee Titans' search for a quarterback took an intriguing turn in the buildup to the East-West Shrine Bowl. Head coach Brian Callahan's first encounter with Shedeur Sanders sparked conversations about the team's potential draft strategy. Callahan, and Sanders, the Colorado Buffaloes quarterback with NFL aspirations, met during the build-up to the Shrine Bowl.

"You can tell he's been raised right," Callahan said per Jim Wyatt. "He's mature, he has a really poised way about him, and he seems like a really good kid. I enjoyed talking to him. And, you could tell he's a guy who has been in the spotlight. He knows how to handle himself, he's been paid money, so he has a financial perspective."

Shedeur Sanders enters the draft with impressive credentials. He threw for 4,134 yards and 37 touchdowns in 2024, making him an attractive option for teams in search of a QB. The Titans hold the No.1 pick in the draft and fans are eagerly waiting to see what decision they will take.

Speaking about Sanders's attributes as a QB, Callahan said post their meeting:

"The thing that stands out the most is his toughness. He took some pretty big shots and he kept rolling. He can stand in the pocket and deliver it. He can move and create a bit, he has some ability to move out the pocket, and he does create on his own."

The Titans' search for a QB becomes more complex with Deion Sanders's potential involvement. Reports have emerged that the Hall of Famer may block certain teams from drafting his son. There have also been reports that Coach Prime is open to taking up an NFL head coaching role if a team drafted both his sons.

The Titans' draft interest extends beyond Shedeur Sanders. Callahan expressed admiration for other quarterback prospects like Cam Ward, who threw for 4,313 yards and 39 touchdowns in 2024. The Titans plan to continue their evaluation through multiple touchpoints, including the NFL Combine and pro days.
