"He's definitely retiring by 2030" - Brittany Mahomes' due date sees NFL fans raise questions on Patrick Mahomes' future

After the Kansas City Chiefs' shutout loss against the Denver Broncos, Patrick Mahomes is headed back to his hometown. CBS Sports lead Tracy Wolfson reported that Mahomes' wife, Brittany Mahomes, is set to welcome their third child.

"No one happier to get back to KC than Patrick Mahomes. He told me his wife Brittany is due to give birth to their 3rd child on Sunday," Tracy wrote on X after reposting NFL insider, Jordan Schultz's post.

NFL fans jumped in with their opinions.

"3 kids under 5. He's definitely retiring by 2030," one fan wrote.

To which, another fan replied:

"He said he’ll retire if this career starts affecting his role as a husband and father. He’s been filling the coffers for years based on this scenario."

"That is insane planning on their part," another commented.

Patrick and Brittany Mahomes set to welcome third child

The due date couldn’t come at a more opportune time for Patrick Mahomes. CBS Sports' Tracy Wolfson reported that Brittany Mahomes' labor could start as early as Sunday with plans to induce by Monday if necessary.

Patrick and Brittany Mahomes' third child, a girl, will join Sterling Skye, born in February 2021, and Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III, born in November 2022.

Last year, Brittany discussed battling severe sickness, exhaustion and skin issues during her pregnancy.

The couple announced the news of their third pregnancy after a European trip in July 2024.

In spite of the struggles throughout her pregnancy, Brittany has continued to attend Kansas City Chiefs games to support her husband and the Chiefs.
