Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs have kicked off their 2024 NFL preseason. Looking to make history with three consecutive Super Bowls, the Chiefs are focused right from day one.

Mahomes, however, is making the most of his days off.

According to an Instagram story shared by Brittany Mahomes, the quarterback spent his time snuggling and eating some Oreos.

All dressed in comfortable white tees, Mahomes was snuggling on the couch with daughter Sterling and son Bronze. The kids were the ones with golden Oreos in their hands.

"Off day Oreos & snuggles [Patrick Mahomes]," Brittany wrote.

In other stories, Brittany shared some cute interactions with their son Bronze.

"I put a sticker on his forehead and he eats everytime. Please tell me how this makes sense," Brittany said.

The family had another day out while the Chiefs played their preseason game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Patrick Mahomes is determined to prioritize his family

With multiple Super Bowl wins to his name, Mahomes is easily one of the most successful NFL players, and there have been comparisons to legends like Tom Brady.

Brady, with seven Super Bowl wins, retired after 20 years in the league.

Mahomes, though unsure of his career graph, isn't sure if he'll play as long as Brady did. Speaking with TIME Magazine about the same in April, Mahomes revealed how he does wish to prioritize his family.

“I’ve looked, if I played until Tom [Brady]’s age, my daughter would be 19, 20 years old," Mahomes said. "That would mean missing plenty of youth sporting events and other commitments.
“I would love to play that long. At the same time, I want to be there for my daughter. If I can do that, I'll continue to play. But if I feel like it's taking away from my family time, that's when I'll know it's time to go.”

In the same interview, Mahomes admitted that he's nowhere near Brady's level of greatness yet.
