Brittany Mahomes shows off husband Patrick's "braiding" talents as Chiefs QB spends quality time with family

After leading the Kansas City Chiefs to a hard-fought win over the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday, Patrick Mahomes is enjoying some downtime with his family. The quarterback did his dad duties and continued his quest to master the art of braiding daughter Sterling Skye's hair and is seemingly getting pretty good at it.

His wife Brittany Mahomes shared a glimpse of the progress he's made on her Instagram profile on Monday, and it's safe to say that she's thoroughly impressed. She posted a picture of the quarterback's terrific attempt at braiding their daughter's hair and captioned it:

"Patrick Mahomes crushing his braiding skills."

Mahomes was pleased about getting his wife's praise for his attempt at braiding their daughter's hair, and he shared her story on his Instagram page.

Patrick Mahomes has proven to be quite a hands-on parent. In October, he gave his daughter a special shout-out in a postgame interview after their win against the New Orleans Saints on Monday Night Football.

"Hey Sterling, go to bed," he said.

Sterling is the first of the couple's two children. Their second child, Bronze, just celebrated his second birthday last week. They are also expecting their third child, a baby girl.

Patrick and Brittany Mahomes' daughter Sterling has rubbed shoulders with none other than pop superstar Taylor Swift.

In an appearance on The Drive with Carrington Harrison podcast last month, Patrick Mahomes shared one specific activity that Sterling and Swift have done together.

"She’s made different treats, like muffins and donuts and stuff like that. Sterling’s a big baker as well, so they make some stuff together sometimes. I’m not gonna say I don’t eat them. She’s as good as everyone’s talked about. She’s as great as it comes to baking."

Sterling has also been photographed multiple times with Swift, who often watches Chiefs games to support her boyfriend, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

Mahomes and the Chiefs improved to 11-1 on the season after defeating the Las Vegas Raiders 19-17 on Sunday. They become the first team in the NFL to clinch a playoff berth.
