"Broncos about to tank": Denver fans hyped up as Travis Hunter talks up potential landing spot in 2025 NFL Draft

Travis Hunter has been a well-known name in the college football scene for a while now. Many expect the cornerback and wide receiver combo to be a top draft pick in 2025.

As such, there is likely to be a short list of teams in potential positions to get him. That said, Hunter himself has a preference. On Deestroying's "Kickin' It with Dee" podcast, Hunter said he would like to play for the Denver Broncos. This caused a positive uproar of hype for the fanbase, with many happy to sacrifice the season to get him.

"Broncos about to tank the season," one said.

"Broncos tank incoming," another braced.

"That cornerback room would be scary [oh] my," another added.

More fans confessed they were willing to sacrifice the 2024 season for the addition of Hunter.

"TANK FOR TRAVIS," another said.

"Travis and PS2 is A crazy thought," one more said.

"Hoping the broncos lose every game for the rest of the season so this can happen," another expressed.

Of course, the Broncos already have one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL this season, Patrick Surtain II. Surtain has faced Garrett Wilson, Mike Evans, George Pickens and DK Metcalf this season. In each of these contests, none of them emerged as their team’s most productive receiver.

Adding Hunter, who has wide receiver qualities as well, to pair with Surtain would potentially create one of the best one-two cornerback rooms in the NFL. Of course, aside from Hunter delivering in the big leagues, the Broncos would need to get in position after a 2-2 start.

Unfortunately, Broncos fans hoping to get Hunter will need to settle for the team's first playoff appearance since the Peyton Manning era. At least, that is what Sportskeeda's Playoff Predictor expects to happen.

According to the predictor, the Denver Broncos will get the fifth seed in the AFC. They won't win their division (that honor remains with the Chiefs) but they will get back into the playoff picture for the first time in a decade.

Unless something bizarre happens in the NFL draft, the odds seem low that Travis Hunter will be available for Denver in 2025.

That said, if the goal was to get Travis Hunter to help get the team to the playoffs, fans might be willing to settle for the apparent playoff team they already have.
