Browns fans raise eyebrows over WR Elijah Moore's cryptic tweet: "Just work" "Hopefully u take ur own advice"

Elijah Moore
Elijah Moore's cryptic social media post has some questioning his motives.

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Elijah Moore shared his thoughts about his critics in a post on X on Sunday. Moore's message comes as he is set to embark on a contract season in Cleveland.

In 2023, his first season with the Browns, he appeared in all 17 games, starting 12, and had 59 catches for 640 yards and only two touchdowns.

Moore's post was directed at those who have questioned his work ethic. He ensured everyone that he was continuing to 'outwork everyone' and that he would be ready when he stepped back on the field.

"Outwork everyone! Dats always been my mindset. F*** all the what he say, he thinks/ she thinks keee keee kee, one min Dey on ya, one min Dey not the next Dey back on. Jussss workkkkk. Never STOP. F*** em we ball. God the glory for it all. Yall be up n down. God stays solid," Moore via X.

Fans on social media weren't thrilled with Moore's post, with some questioning. Some said that the expletives were unnecessary, especially when he was mentioning his faith. Others believed that he should just silently put in the work and show what he has done when he returns on the field.

Other NFL fans questioned how much training he was actually doing when he hasn't reported off-season workouts with his team. Moore was drafted by the New York Jets in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft out of Ole Miss.

In his second season with the Jets, Elijah Moore reportedly asked for a trade as he felt his talents weren't being utilized in the offensive scheme. The Jets granted his wish in March 2023, trading him to the Cleveland Browns.

"Outworking others doesn't happen on Twitter/X Big Dawg.... God will tell you that."-said one fan
"Put in the work then.. you skip OTA and you post this."-said another
"Says outwork everyone, but doesn't show up to work. Interesting take."-one fan questioned

This post from Elijah Moore has some fans questioning if he is any happier in Cleveland than he was in New York. Some fans were straightforward with their thoughts and told Moore to just get the work done and not address his haters.

"What inspires a grown a** man to post this stuff?"-one user on X proclaimed
"Hard to give God the glory when you say f*** twice."-one fan doubted
"Adversity is not a insult but only a reason to go not a little but a lot much harder." -a fan advised

Elijah Moore missed Browns OTA's

Elijah Moore may have had his reasons to share his post on X but the 24-year-old didn't participate in the first set of OTA's (organized team activities) with the Cleveland Browns last week.

The Browns will also be running a new offensive scheme under newly hired offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey. This extra time to learn the offense and work with his teammates and coaching staff could be beneficial heading into the 2024 NFL season.
