On Sunday, the Las Vegas Raiders achieved their first win of the past 11 games, defeating the Jacksonville Jaguars 19-14 in a game between two teams more concerned with their draft slot than actually winning the contest. But the win had a huge cost for Las Vegas.
The Raiders defeated a team that are clear rivals for one of the top five picks in the 2025 NFL Draft. As a result, they moved from a top 2 pick to currently having the sixth-overall pick, likely missing one of the top two quarterbacks from the 2025 class as a result.

"That is not the win you think it is for the fans, read the room", a second fan said.

There has been a strong bond between Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders, one of the top picks in the 2025 NFL Draft, and Las Vegas owner Mark Davis. The Raiders are one of the teams that most desperately need a quarterback to improve their roster after a down year with Gardner Minshew and Aidan O'Connell.
Antonio Pierce is unbothered about draft picks following Raiders' win
In the press conference after Sunday's win, the draft order was surely going to be a topic. A reporter asked the head coach what was the message for the fans who were unhappy with Las Vegas winning the game.
Pierce gave a four-word response that showed his clear mentality as a head coach and a former player. He couldn't care less about the draft pick: after ten straight losses, he just wanted to win.
