Another Thursday Night Football kickoff ended in a pretty stale encounter as the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field. There was little to talk about as the game ended 6-3 in what was a pretty fitting finale for the Thursday Night Football schedule.

Since there was little action to witness on the night, Bears fans were pretty loud while voicing their disapproval of the state of the franchise. At one point, Bears fans booed the team off the field as the offense failed to make things happen. After the game, franchise quarterback Caleb Williams was asked for his thoughts on what transpired on the field. Addressing the aspect of the fans booing the team, Williams said:

“This is my first year. Their frustrations go way longer back than I’ve been here. My job is to go out there and win games. We don’t focus on the outside noise.
"Fans are going to cheer and maybe boo sometimes. You can’t react to that. It’s not something we react to. We have a job to do. Sometimes you don’t do too well on the job somedays. Some days you’re pretty consistent.”

The TNF loss to Seattle was Chicago's 10th consecutive loss of the season, highlighting just how bad the product has been on the field despite optimism in the summer after a series of big moves. While the short turnaround to Thursday Night Football has often led to a pretty unconvincing product, only two TNF games over the last 75 seasons have ended with nine or fewer points being scored.

Tonight's Seahawks-Bears was one of those.

Former NFL HC Jon Gruden outlines why he hates Thursday Night Football

Prior to the game, former Las Vegas Raiders head coach Jon Gruden was asked for his thoughts on what transpires at a franchise when they have to prep for Thursday Night Football.

Gruden made it clear that he's not a fan of the NFL's early schedule. On the Pardon My Take podcast, Gruden said:

“On a short week, you really don’t get any time to practice. You don’t get any time to familiarize yourself with the opponent’s blitzes, the coverages they run, the stunts they run up front. You don’t get a chance to study their red zone defense, their third-down defense.
"There’s very little preparation. And these guys are beat up, man. I don’t like seeing these guys play 61 snaps on Sunday and then have to go play 68 snaps on Thursday. It bothers me.”

Luckily, tonight's game was the last Thursday Night Football game of the season as we approach Week 18.
