Former NFL MVP Cam Newton sent a clear message to LeBron James and his family about his ability on NFL Madden. The video game has become one of the most popular in the U.S., especially among athletes, and now, some rivalries could be brewing because of this franchise.
In a video shared on X on Monday, Newton told his co-hosts on his "4th & 1" show that James, an avid fan of the video game, would stand no chance against him. Newton went on to say that nobody in that family would be close to beating him.
"LeBron, come on bro. I would beat the brakes off LeBron. I would beat the brakes off LeBron, I'd beat the brakes off Bronny, I'd beat the brakes of Bryce and if Savannah wanna come play me too, I will beat the brakes off her too. And little baby Z [Zhuri], stick with them Barbie dolls, baby. And Mama James wanna come too? She calls up too, Miss James?
"Nobody with a job can beat me. If you're in the NBA, NFL, you're not going to beat me. LeBron Gunther James. My boy, my guy, twin. Where have you been? I'll beat the brakes off Bron," Newton said.

Cam Newton has never been shy to express his confidence and now that he's focused on different goals, nothing has changed.
Despite his confidence, LeBron James wouldn't be an easy opponent, more so after he achieved a terrific accomplishment in Madden 25.
Before Cam Newton's remarks, LeBron James became a top 100 player in Madden 25
Cam Newton would face a pretty difficult opponent in LeBron James, who has been showing off his Madden skills for many years. The four-time NBA champion was ecstatic after learning that he made it to the top 100 ranked players in Madden 25. He shared an Instagram story with the graphic and a short message hyping up his milestone.
"👑LFG 🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️ Madden 25🏈," he captioned the post.
Just like their father, Bronny and Bryce James are pretty solid on Madden, and they could also give Newton a run for their money. Another former NFL star who's a passionate fan of Madden is Dez Bryant, who has played with James before.
A little tournament to define who is the best among these stars would be very attractive to fans, but it remains to be seen if they're interested in settling this debate.
