Cam Newton has found himself in the middle of a social media controversy with Draya Michele. On his "4th and 1" podcast on Thursday, the former NFL quarterback talked about Michele's relationship with Houston Rockets star Jalen Green and their 17-year age gap.
Michele apparently commented on Newton's post that she was waiting for an apology for what he had said. However, Newton wasn't up to apologizing.
"Apologies for what, though?" Newton said. "I am happy if she's happy. Jalen, if you happy bro, I am happy."
The former NFL MVP added that all he did was report the "news."

"It's just an information," Newton said. "Motherf**ng reporting news. We just report what we hear."
Newton reiterated that as long as Michele and Green are happy, it doesn't matter what he thinks or says. The couple welcomed their first child together, a daughter, in May.
Cam Newton once referred to Draya Michele as a 'vulture'
Former NFL quarterback Cam Newton has been vocal about his disapproval of Draya Michele and Jalen Green's relationship for the last few weeks. On his "4th and 1" podcast, he called Michele a "vulture," insinuating that she was only in the relationship for fame and wealth.
"This is a new word for 2025," Newton said on Jan. 13 (09:35). "They're not groupies no more, they're vultures. What vultures do is they loom on their prey. This is the situation where you're saying Draya Michele but you also can use a guy I love and adore in Travis Hunter and his situation. Women are having this vulture-like reason where they're preying on their prey. Waiting for an opportunity and pouncing."
Newton also criticized Travis Hunter's fiancee Leanna Lenne for possibly having a similar mindset.
Michele previously dated NFL quarterback Tyrod Taylor, whom she is in a legal battle with about the former home they shared. Last summer, Taylor reportedly had Michele and her children evicted after a prior agreement they had settled on regarding the home wasn't honored.
