Cam Newton shares financial struggles in providing for 'eight kids' 

Cam Newton is father to eight kids and parenting has come out to be a difficult experience for the former NFL star. Newton recently admitted how it "hurts" to him that he can no longer support his kids financially the same way he once used to.

According to DailyMail, Cam Newton made an appearance on "Special Forces" by Fox, during which he opened up about his parenting struggles, especially around managing the finances of his eight kids. Talking about how he received a "reality" check, Newton said:

"I'm going into a different phase of my life that's going to require a different form of myself. Being in the NFL, everyone knows there's a large sum of money that comes to you in a short span of time and being away from the game for three years, those checks don't came in the same. Like I got eight kids."

"It hurts me knowing that I can't provide like I once did. It hurts thinking that I'm Superman, but in reality, I'm just a man. There's a famous quote that says in order to get something that you've never had, you go to do something that you've never done. At 35, I can literally say, 'Okay now I'm getting prepared for this next chapter of my life,'" Newton further added.

Cam Newton has eight kids. The ex-NFL star shares four of his kids with ex-girlfriend Kia Proctor. The two welcomed their first kid Chosen Sebastian in December 2015. Newton and Proctor welcomed their second child in February 2017.

Kia Proctor and Cam Newton welcomed their third kid Camidas Swain in July 2018 and almost a year later announced the birth of their fourth child Cashmere Saint in September 2019. Newton and Proctor decided to part ways in 2022.

While he dated Kia Proctor, he fathered a child with LaReina Shaw, resulting in Newton's breakup with Proctor, according to PEOPLE. In July 2019, Shaw and Newton welcomed their first child together. Even after parting ways, Newton has been fathering two of Proctor's kids who came from her previous relationship.

In October 2023, comedian Jasmin Brown announced her first pregnancy with boyfriend Cam Newton. In March 2024, the couple announced the birth of their baby girl, who the two have kept away from social media. In fact, the two haven't revealed the name of their daughter yet.
