The Cowboys have salvaged some pride this season after two consecutive wins in the past couple of weeks but CeeDee Lamb's performances have left much to be desired. He is having a poor season along with his teammates and that is understandable when their starting quarterback, Dak Prescott, is out injured for the season. Even before the passer went down, changes on the offensive front had led Dallas to a situation far removed from previous seasons.

The Cowboys, who had won two of the last three NFC East division titles, are most likely to miss out on the postseason barring a late miracle. Star receiver CeeDee Lamb's output has to be among the topmost concerns. He has a career-worst nine drops in the 2024 season and three of them came in their last outing against the Giants, even though the Cowboys ended up winning that clash 27-20.

CeeDee Lamb addressed those concerns and promised that this is a temporary phase that can be remedied. Speaking to Josh Tolentino of LoneStarLive, the Dallas star commented,

“It’s more of a mental thing now. Obviously, I know what I bring to the table and I know that’s not me. Just kind of battling myself to begin with. That’s an easy fix.”

Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb comments on recovering from lingering shoulder injury

CeeDee Lamb suffered a shoulder injury more than a month ago and that has not fully healed yet, which is causing him to miss practice. The wide receiver suffered a similar injury in college and knows how to deal with it.

However, he said that it is not pleasant and that it is something that gets better day by day. He noted,

“It’s not a pleasant feeling. Everyone who has experienced an AC sprain, they understand what I’m going through. With that, it’s finite. It’s day to day. You have to stay on it, keep recovering. Even when it starts feeling good, you’ve got to keep recovering. With that, it’s tricky. But it ain’t nothing I haven’t dealt with before.”

CeeDee Lamb confirmed that he expects to suit up on Monday against the Bengals. Cincinnati is in a similar situation to Dallas. Joe Burrow was expected to lead them to the playoffs but they are likely to miss out in 2024.

The Bengals have also given up 28.3 points this season on defense. It is the second-worst record in the league just ahead of the Carolina Panthers. If there is one game for the Cowboys wide receiver to get past his yips, this should be it.
