CeeDee Lamb has been a burning topic of interest for the Dallas Cowboys fanbase. As the training camp date comes closer, the wide receiver still has not signed a new deal with the franchise. NFL analyst Skip Bayless believes Lamb will be forced to take drastic measures.

Lamb was picked by the Dallas Cowboys in the first round of the 2020 draft out of Oklahoma. He signed his rookie contract worth $14.01 million with an additional $7.7 million as a signing bonus. Now, the 25-year-old is in the last year of his rookie deal.

CeeDee Lamb staged a holdout earlier this offseason as well, not attending any sessions during the OTAs and the mandatory minicamp. He was fined almost $100,000 for missing camp, according to ESPN.

Skip Bayless believes the holdouts will continue.

“I remain convinced, he's (CeeDee Lamb) my one and only baller on that team," Bayless said Thursday on his podcast (Timestamp: 30:46). "He's the one and only player I can trust on that team as long as he is on that team as long as Jerry does finally pay him and get him at least to the first game.
“I have a feeling he's going to hold out or be forced to hold out throughout training camp. I have a feeling he'll show up just in time to play game No. 1 with a new deal.”

Bayless gave a positive spin for the Cowboys fans as well. He believes despite the holdout, Jerry Jones will manage to sign Lamb to a new deal before the start of the season.

CeeDee Lamb has competition within his team

CeeDee Lamb isn’t the only high-profile player in his final contract year. Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is also months away from being a free agent.

The Cowboys start training camp on July 25, and their first regular season game is on Sept. 8 against the Cleveland Browns.
