Former NFL wide receiver Chad "Ochocinco" announced that he is back in the boxing ring. Johnson announced the news on Twitter on February 6, 2023.
Ochocinco tweeted:
"I’m fighting @JaronEnnis in April/May, good fight for me before i go up to 168 & fight @BooBooAndrade, after 2 years in the ring consistently I’m ready."

Ochocinco made his debut on May 3, 2021, as he fought on the Floyd Mayweather-Logan Paul undercard. He boxed against Brian Maxwell in a four-minute two-round boxing match. Since it was an exhibition fight, no winner was declared. as no score was kept and neither boxer was knocked out.
Maxwell had prior combat experience as he had gone 2-3 in MMA fights and was 0-3 in bare knuckle fighting championship matches before fighting Johnson.
His opponent, Jaron Ennis, is a professional American boxer with a perfect record of 30-0 and has held the IBF interim welterweight since January 2023.
Ochoccinco will definitely be taking a step up here as he faces a much tougher competitor in his next boxing match.
