There's a growing concern in Los Angeles regarding quarterback Justin Herbert. ESPN NFL reporter Adam Schefter dropped a bombshell on Thursday afternoon, saying that Herbert was diagnosed with a foot injury.
Herbert suffered an injury to the plantar fascia in his right foot and will be in a boot for around two weeks. He will then partake in a "graduated return" with the expectation of being ready for the Chargers' season opener.
"Chargers announced that Justin Herbert was diagnosed with an injury to the plantar fascia in his right foot. Per the team: "Doctors have recommended approximately two weeks in a boot - followed by a graduated return to play protocol - with the expectation that he will be ready for the start of the regular season," Schefter wrote.

Here's how fans reacted:
"f**k, foot injuries are not good, especially if its plantar fasciatus or something similar. wonder what the actual injury is," one worried fan said.
"Yeahhhh that's not good," one fan wrote.
"Chargers are up there with the Cowboys as a team that can't catch a break," one person said.
The reactions continued on similar lines:
"Ooooohhh boy," one fan added.
"Damn that's a nagging injury. The hurts," another wrote.
Justin Herbert injury history: Herbert missed time in 2023 with a finger injury
Justin Herbert has been pretty banged up in his career. Some injuries he's suffered in the NFL include a chest rib fracture in 2022, a labrum tear in 2023, and a finger fracture in Week 14 of last season.
The finger injury forced the Los Angeles Chargers to put Herbert on injured reserve on December 12, shutting him down for the rest of the season. Prior to that, Herbert had started in 62 consecutive games, which was the second-longest streak in the NFL.
While the expectation is that Herbert should be ready for the start of the season, it sounds like he could be in jeopardy of missing the season opener. Time will tell.
