Ladd McConkey is currently in his new home for the NFLPA Rookie Premiere, and he has someone familiar to accompany him.

The Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver is one of 40 players invited to the five-day spectacle, and his girlfriend Sydney Horne has made sure to be with him throughout.

On Thursday, she posted an Instagram story of themselves enjoying dinner at La Boucherie, a steakhouse in the topmost portion of the city's InterContinental Hotel:

Steak is far from the only food McConkey and Horne have been able to enjoy in Los Angeles hotels.

The two also partook in fruits and other sweets at Yamashiro Hollywood, a Japanese fusion restaurant at the Hollywood Hills Hotel that primarily serves sushi and boasts a koi pond, among other amenities:

What number will Ladd McConkey wear as a Charger, and why?

When Ladd McConkey finally plays his first snaps as a Charger in August, he will do so with a new jersey number.

When he was playing for the Georgia Bulldogs in college, winning two national titles in the process, he sported 84, which Sydney Horne would emphasize at least once on social media.

However, his rookie season will see him using 15, the same number as 1960s quarterback-turned-politician Jack Kemp. That's because 84 is already being used by tight end Stone Smartt.

However, McConkey revealed in his introductory media conference that he had used 15 before, so he was just returning to it:

“When I grew up, that was my number. Every time when I was little, highschool, middle school, I wore it.
"And then I went to Georgia and got 84. I told coach Harbaugh that 84 wasn’t my choice, but I feel like I made that number at Georgia but wanted to go back to 15.”

Other noteworthy rookie jersey numbers include 76 for first-round offensive tackle Joe Alt, which was formerly worn by multiple-time Pro Bowl nose tackle Jamal Williams, and 30 for running back Kimani Vidal, which was once borne by one-time AFC champion Natrone Means.
