Bears vs Colts box score, stats and summary feat. Anthony Richardson and Caleb Williams

Week 3's showdown between the Chicago Bears and the Indianapolis Colts at the Lucas Oil Stadium was tagged as a potential shootout considering how the Bears have flattered to deceive with Caleb Williams under center. We didn't see a lot happening this Sunday either as the Bears struggled to get the offense going early on. The Bears entered Week 3 barely 1-1 while the Colts were 0-2.

There were high expectations on both quarterbacks, Anthony Richardson in particular, considering his dual skill set, but we've seen a very Jekyll-and-Hyde performance from the former Florida Gators gunslinger so far.

In the end, the Colts managed to pick up the win, but neither team convinced the other of its credentials to contend in the near future.

Richardson's very costly INT through traffic turned over possession to the Bears early into the second quarter, showcasing some of the growing pains the Colts will have to put up with this year. This was his fifth INT of the season.

What's worse, Caleb Williams immediately found Rome Odunze on a gain of 45 right after the Colts turned it over. It's another matter that Williams threw an INT to gift Jaylon Jones his first INT of his career, but what we saw tonight was essentially the embers of a shootout between two quarterbacks who haven't figured out the nuances of life in the National Football League.

The Bears O-line afforded Williams more time this afternoon but the No. 1 overall pick was erratic, struggling to find his receivers. The Bears have braced themselves for growing pains, but Anthony Richardson's showing may not have given the Colts much more hope. Williams' INT was in field-goal range but Richardson's INT was in end-zone range in the second quarter.

Williams' INT led to the first TD in this matchup but if we're gauging the graver sin, Richardson has a lot to learn about life in the NFL. He was 5-of-11 heading into half-time.

Cairo Santos put the franchise on the scoreboard to start with. But it was a night to forget for both quarterbacks.

The Colts will go up against the Steelers in Week 4 whereas the Bears will face the injury-hit Rams next weekend.
