Chiefs CEO Clark Hunt's daughter Gracie opens up about dating Patrick Mahomes' old college buddy

Gracie Hunt, daughter of Kansas City Chiefs CEO Clark Hunt, revealed a surprising connection between her boyfriend, Cody Keith, and quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

On Thursday, OutKick released an exclusive interview with Gracie. During one segment, she talked about her relationship with Keith and his long-standing friendship with Mahomes:

"I love the Chiefs and I love football season. He grew up playing football and he and Patrick actually trained together out of college. They had a pre-existing friendship. And it is just so funny how small the world is. They have been buddies this whole time, and it took him all this time to meet me." (15:02)

While Patrick Mahomes and Cody Keith attended different colleges, the starting point of their friendship remains unknown. However, while Mahomes made it to the NFL, Keith had hard luck finding his place in the league.

Who is Gracie Hunt's boyfriend Cody Keith?

Cody Keith is from Pasadena, with his roots in Charlotte, considering that's where he grew up. After his high school graduation, Keith went to East Carolina University in Greenville, where he played quarterback on a full athletic scholarship.

In 2014, he graduated with a bachelor's degree in communications. After college, according to PEOPLE, Keith attended multiple rookie mini-camps in the league. The former QB was part of training camps of the Indianapolis Colts, Washington Commanders and Baltimore Ravens.

However, due to consistent battles with injuries, Cody Keith decided to let go of his NFL dreams. In 2019, he joined his family's real estate company, Keith Corporation, where he works as a licensed broker. Even though he did not make it to the NFL, Keith has been spotted cheering for the Chiefs alongside his girlfriend throughout the 2024 season.
