Chiefs DE George Karlaftis recalls being 'blown away' after meeting 'humble' Taylor Swift for the first time

Travis Kelce’s girlfriend Taylor Swift has often been praised for her humble nature. Most recently, Kansas City Chiefs defensive end George Karlaftis recalled his first-ever meeting with the 'Blank Space' singer. In addition to recapping his experience with Swift, Karlaftis also talked about his first impression of the pop star.

On Wednesday, George Karlaftis made an appearance on “The Rich Eisen Show” on YouTube. During his time on the podcast, Karlaftis went down his memory lane and talked about the time he met Swift for the first time at one of the Chiefs' games.

Talking about how he was blown away by her “humble” and “kind” nature, Karlaftis said:

“The first time I met her was after one of the games, it was with my girlfriend - and Travis, obviously. We were just blown away. Obviously, I know Travis and I've known him for some time.” (12:30)

“But just how much of a normal person she is! Super humble, super kind, and just awesome to be around. Very much like 87, so when you meet that big a superstar, it's not what you expect, but that's how she was and is,” Karlaftis further added.

Apart from George Karlaftis’ praise, Chad Ochocinco's ex-girlfriend Sharelle Rosado also highlighted the singer’s contribution to bringing a greater spotlight on the women of the NFL.

On Friday, Chad Ochocinco's ex-girlfriend Sharelle Rosado was interviewed by PageSix at the “Virtual Reali-Tea” podcast. During her time on the podcast, Rosado talked about the influence of Taylor Swift on bringing a new spotlight on the wives and girlfriends of NFL stars.

Talking about how her romance with Travis Kelce changed the “outlook” for NFL “WAGs,” she said:

"I love giving Taylor Swift as an example. Ever since her and Kelce started dating, it changed the outlook of what a WAG is and it just has been becoming better and better. You’re now starting to see more of the wives and girlfriends doing things together more, being out there more and showing that." (6:38)

Apart from George Karlaftis, former WWE superstar Baron Corbin also recalled his “crazy” experience sharing the VIP suites with Taylor Swift at a Kansas City Chiefs game.
