Harrison Butker caused a stir in May when he voiced his views on politics, gender roles and abortion during a commencement speech at Benedictine College. Butker has now doubled down on his political views and expressed how his faith has influenced his political stance.

On Saturday, Butker shared his endorsement of Missouri Senator Josh Hawley in a post on X. He also shared the creation of the "UPRIGHT PAC" which is an initiative to encourage Christians, like himself, to vote in the upcoming 2024 Presidential Election.

The post included a link to the "UPRIGHT PAC" official website and a way that people can support Butker's new initiative with a donation.

"I am also excited to announce the creation of the UPRIGHT PAC as a way to promote and encourage Christian voters to vote, so that their voices are heard this November."-Butker announced on X.

Former Capitol Police Officer sends message to Harrison Butker after endorsement

Josh Hawley wasn't the only politician that Harrison Butker endorsed last week. While appearing on FOX News, he endorsed former President Donald Trump in the upcoming election. Butker said that his choice of candidate comes down to his pro-life stance:

"I'm supporting the president that's going to be the most pro-life and I think Donald Trump is the most pro-life president. That's the most crucial topic for me. I want us to be fighting for the most vulnerable, fighting for the unborn, and that's what we should prioritize."-Butker said.

Former Capitol Police Officer Harry Dunn, who helped protect the Capitol during the insurrection on January 6, 2021, didn't appreciate Butker's endorsement of Trump.

"Shut up and kick."-Harry Dunn wrote on X.

The Kansas City Chiefs kicker has faced backlash since his comments last May. He, however, hasn't backed down from the idea of possibly getting canceled on social media.

As for his season with the Chiefs, Harrison Butker has made 12 of 14 field goal attempts and 10 of 11 extra-point attempts. In 2023, Butker missed just two field goals in 17 regular season games and had a 100% success rate in extra-point attempts.
