Baltimore Ravens tight end Isaiah Likely thought he scored a touchdown as time expired on Thursday night. Officials then discovered after review that Likely's toes were out of bounds and with no time remaining on the clock, leading the Ravens to lose the game 27-20 against the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday.

Likely wasn't happy after the game and told reporters it was the "worst" game. On Friday, Chiefs safety Justin Reid appeared on the "Up and Adams Show" and was asked by Kay Adams what he thought of Likely's comments.

“It's the first game of the season. I hope it's the worst game that anyone plays because if you're peaking right now, then that's bad news come playoff time. He had a good game himself, so credit to him," Reid said on the "Up and Adams Show".

Justin Reid also defended his team, saying that they still have plenty to work on. He even noted the current absence of wide receiver Marquise Brown, who has been dealing with a shoulder injury the last few weeks.

What did Isaiah Likely say after the loss to the Chiefs?

Baltimore Ravens tight end Isaiah Likely wasn't pleased with his touchdown being overturned on the opening night of the 2024 NFL season.

After the game, Isaiah Likely told reporters that he wasn't impressed with the Kansas City Chiefs performance on Thursday night.

“This is probably the worst game we're going to play all year. If this is the best that they got, good luck in the postseason," Likely said

Likely finished the Week 1 matchup with nine catches for 111 yards and a touchdown on the night.

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes had his own thoughts on the overturned touchdown. After the game, when asked by reporters if he had any thoughts, he jokingly suggested Likely wear white cleats next time in hopes of blending in with the line.
