Chiefs Kingdom brainstorms baby names as Patrick Mahomes, wife Brittany host gender reveal: "Baby Goldie is coming"

Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany are expecting a third baby together. Sharing their journey with fans every step of the way, the couple also shared a glimpse into their gender reveal. With a giant tic-tac-toe display in blue and pink pastels, the family revealed that they'd be having another baby girl.

Of course, Chiefs Kingdom was quick to congratulate the couple, even dubbing Mahomes 'girl dad.' However, many fans started brainstorming ideas for baby names. With everyone from their two family dogs to their children being named after metals, fans took to speculate a few names of their own.

"BABY GOLDIE IS COMING 😍💕" one fan wrote.

Goldie, apparently, was a popular choice.

"Ah yes, Goldie Mahomes," another fan said.

"She MUST be named Goldie. It’s the only way. #babymahomes," one user said.

"I hope they name her Goldie," a fan added.

"Adorable! Not sure if it’s been said yet but baby girl needs to be Goldie!" a fan said.

Diamond, although not a metal, was another choice:

"It's a girl. Name is gonna be Diamond."

"I think all the inter-webs have already dubbed her 'Goldie' or 'Rose Gold' lol," one fan suggested.

"Hmmm…name her Copper & she goes by Pennie? Nickel & call her Nicki, Magnesium and call her Maggie?" another user said.

One fan even joked about Tungsten as a name:

"Tungsten would be such a great girl name."

The couple shared the pregnancy announcement on social media, with the gender reveal following soon after.

Patrick Mahomes' wife Brittany had decided the name her daughter 'Sterling' a long time ago

Patrick and Brittany Mahomes do have a habit of naming their growing family after metals. Their dogs are called Steel and Silver, while their children and named Sterling and Bronze. In a previous question-and-answer session on Instagram, Brittany revealed how the names Sterling and Bronze came to be.

"I got Steel in college and named him that. We then got our second dog and were gonna name her Sterling because it went with Steel perfect.

"Then I said no, I want that to be my daughter's name, so then we came up with Silver to go with Steel. Then daughter came & we were already set on Sterling. Then having a boy and him being Patrick Mahomes III, Bronze was just meant to be and went perfect," she added.

While there's no way to confirm what name Patrick Mahomes will choose, fans are assuming their third baby will also be named after a metal.
