Travis Kelce is looking to make his fifth career Super Bowl appearance when the Kansas City Chiefs host the Buffalo Bills in Sunday’s AFC Championship Game. As the game approaches, he has shared an empowering message.
On Saturday, the superstar tight end took to Instagram to post a montage of highlights from last week’s Divisional Round win against the Houston Texans. The video notably included Patrick Mahomes’ touchdown pass to him as Mahomes was being taken down by the pass rush. The post’s caption read:
"🗣️WHEN IT MATTERS MOST!!!"

During a pregame press conference, Kelce dismissed speculation about a decline in his performance after recording at least 100 yards for the ninth time in his postseason career:
"I laugh at it. It’s fun. As long as I’m going out there and we’re winning, that’s all that matters."
Jason Kelce may miss watching Travis Kelce in AFC Championship Game
Travis Kelce might not have his older brother Jason watching him in the AFC Championship Game. These days, the two brothers rarely appear together, with Jason busy hosting Monday Night Countdown for ESPN. With ESPN no longer airing football games after the Divisional Round, a family reunion might have seemed likely.
However, the situation is more complicated. Jason has committed to appearing at a tailgate party for his Philadelphia Eagles’ NFC Championship Game against the Washington Commanders. Speaking recently on They Call It Late Night, Jason described his dilemma as "writing by the seat of our pants":
"This is something I'm still trying to figure out... I'm really fired up to be there for that, but I'm kind of torn. I want to be there for the Eagles, but I also want to be there for my brother. I don't know how many more he has... We might be able to see both of us here again hopefully."
Jason may draw inspiration from his mother, Donna Kelce, who famously attended both her sons’ Wild Card games during the 2021–22 postseason.
She began by watching Jason’s Eagles lose to Tom Brady’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the early afternoon. Then, aided by a one-hour time zone difference, she flew to Kansas City to watch Travis and the Chiefs defeat the Pittsburgh Steelers in a night game.
