In the midst of injuries to other key offensive players, Kansas City Chiefs receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling has been a spark for the team. MVS excelled in the game against the Cincinnati Bengals, propelling the Chiefs to the Super Bowl.
However, the Chiefs wide receiver is fed up with his name being mispronounced by reporters across the league. He recently expressed his displeasure with the subject in a tweet.
Here's what MVS said after last night's Super Bowl show:

"You’d think as a media journalist, pronouncing the person’s name right would be top priority. You know the interviewee is doing you a favor. The least you can do is pronounce the name right."
During his post-game conference after the AFC Championship Game, Scantling expressed his displeasure with his name being mispronounced. Furthermore, seeing the same mistake made by the reporters during Super Bowl week was aggravating for the Chiefs WR.
With the way he has performed in big games for the Chiefs, hopefully, journalists around the league will start pronouncing his name right. The former Green Bay Packers receiver has come up big for Patrick Mahomes this season and deserves to get the proper recognition.
Scantling was often criticized during his time in Green Bay, but since his arrival in Kansas City, he has shown that the quarterback could trust him in critical situations.
Marquez Valdes-Scantling played a huge role in the AFC Championship Game
Marquez Valdes-Scantling was signed by the Kansas City Chiefs ahead of this season as a free agent and has contributed well to the team's success. While the likes of Mecole Hardman, Juju Smith-Schuster, and Kadarius Toney got hurt in the AFC Championship Game, MVS led the charge with Mahomes and Travis Kelce.
MVS has 42 catches for 687 yards and scored 2 touchdowns in 17 games this season. In the AFC Championship Game against the Bengals, he had 6 catches for 116 yards and scored a single touchdown.
While Mecole Hardman is expected to miss the Chiefs' Super Bowl, MVS is likely to be aided by the return of both Toney and Smith-Schuster. Patrick Mahomes will be able to throw the ball to his dependable receiving unit and will be looking to win his second Super Bowl on Sunday.
