After a 1-4 start to the season, the Los Angeles Rams lost only two of their next 11 games, won the NFC West title, and booked their berth in the playoffs. Head coach Sean McVay's team has been spectacular since their bye week in Week 5 and is entering the playoffs as one of the dark horses to win and represent the NFC in the Super Bowl.

The Rams boast an explosive offensive and a robust defense. They have the tools to beat any team in their conference in a one-off elimination game. However, two-time Super Bowl champion Chris Long believes there's one team LA would want to avoid in the playoffs. On an episode of The Rich Eisen Show released Tuesday, the retired defensive end said:

"When I talk about matchups, the Rams don't want to play the [Philadelphia] Eagles. But other than that, I think they'll go toe to toe with anybody in the NFC."

Long claimed that the Rams' inexperienced defensive line would not match up well against the Eagles' seasoned offensive line. He pointed to LA's 37-20 loss to Philadelphia in Week 12, where running back Saquon Barkley rushed for a career-high 255 yards and two touchdowns, as proof of his claim. The former Eagles star added:

"The size of [Philadelphia's offensive] front like, I think the Rams defensive front is a lot of fun. They're young, they're productive. I love Jared Verse, [Braden] Fiske... The Rams, they're just a little light up front to face up with a with a Philly front, that we already saw what that looks like in in LA. I'm not saying it would happen the exact same way, but as that game went on, they kind of got worn down."

Rams' playoff path: Will LA meet Philadelphia in the playoffs?

The Rams are the No. 4 seed in the NFC and will open their playoff campaign against the Minnesota Vikings at SoFi Stadium. If they win, they'll likely head to Ford Field to take on the Detroit Lions in the divisional round.

However, if the Tampa Bay Buccaneers lose to the Washington Commanders and the Eagles beat the Green Bay Packers, LA will head to Philadelphia, and the Lions will host the Commanders in the divisional round.

A duel between the Rams and Eagles hinges on Tampa Bay losing at home to Washington. If the Buccaneers beat the Commanders, LA and Philadelphia would not meet before the NFC Championship Game.
